Privacy Policy
MediVast Solutions ("MediVast", "we", "our", or "us") is committed to protecting the privacy of users of the MediVast mobile application. This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, how we protect it, and the choices available to our users.
1. Scope
This Privacy Policy applies to the MediVast mobile application and related services used for attendance tracking, engineer coordination, service operations, reporting, notifications, and administrative monitoring.
2. Information We Collect
Depending on how the application is used, we may collect the following information:
- Account and profile data: name, email address, phone number, employee or engineer identifier, role, and related employment information.
- Attendance data: punch-in time, punch-out time, attendance status, work date, and service activity timestamps.
- Location data: GPS coordinates, derived addresses, and location updates collected for attendance verification, service tracking, dispatch, and safety workflows.
- Camera and image data: images, scanned documents, signatures, and job-related photos captured by users inside the app.
- Service and operational data: service requests, appointment details, reports, assignment history, notes, and uploaded files.
- Notification data: device push notification tokens and notification interaction events.
- Device and diagnostics data: device model, operating system version, app version, crash diagnostics, and technical logs used for reliability and security.
3. How We Use Information
We use collected information for legitimate business and operational purposes, including to:
- authenticate users and secure access to the application;
- record attendance and verify work activity;
- assign, track, and manage service requests and field operations;
- capture and upload supporting images, documents, and signatures;
- send alerts, reminders, and operational notifications;
- support managers and administrators with reporting and oversight;
- maintain system reliability, audit trails, and fraud prevention controls; and
- comply with legal, regulatory, contractual, or internal governance requirements.
4. Camera Permission
The app requests camera permission to allow users to capture photos, documents, and other job-related records inside the application. Camera access is used only when the user initiates a capture action, such as taking a service image, attaching documentation, or creating a report. We do not use the camera silently in the background.
5. Location Permission
The app requests location permission to support attendance verification, engineer tracking, service coordination, dispatch optimization, and operational safety. Location collection is tied to app workflows such as punch-in, punch-out, and location-aware monitoring features.
6. Notifications
The app may use push notifications to send attendance reminders, assignment updates, service alerts, and other operational messages. To support this, we may store device notification tokens and delivery-related metadata.
7. Data Sharing
We do not sell personal information. We may share information only as needed with:
- authorized employers, administrators, or management users of the MediVast platform;
- service providers supporting hosting, communications, analytics, notifications, storage, or infrastructure;
- business partners or client organizations involved in service delivery where access is required for the workflow; and
- law enforcement, regulators, courts, or other authorities where required by law or to protect rights, safety, and security.
8. Data Security
We use reasonable technical and organizational safeguards designed to protect data, including:
- encrypted transport where supported;
- authenticated access controls and role-based permissions;
- restricted administrative access;
- logging and audit support for operational events; and
- security maintenance and platform updates.
9. Data Retention
We retain information only as long as reasonably necessary for business, operational, legal, contractual, and compliance purposes. Retention periods may vary depending on the type of record, such as attendance records, service reports, uploaded documents, or diagnostic logs.
10. User Rights and Choices
Subject to applicable law and organizational obligations, users may request access to, correction of, or deletion of personal information, or may raise privacy questions with us. Certain records may need to be retained for legal, payroll, operational, audit, or contractual reasons.
11. Children's Privacy
The MediVast app is intended for business and professional use and is not directed to children.
12. Changes to This Privacy Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we do, we will post the updated version on this page and update the effective date above.
